Lynn Peters Jewelry Collection
Powerful Expressions of Beauty by an American Master
Lynn Peters is a southwestern artist forced to retire at the age of 43, in 1996, during a cancer diagnosis with surgeries gone wrong leaving her with a severe nerve disability, unable to ever create art again. Her work formerly consisted of painting, sculpture, drawing, jewelry, metal work, graphic design & advertising.
She is now 59 years old and has only one collection of her work left. This jewelry work varies in an array of ancient and modern jewelry and metal art techniques.
Each piece of fine art jewelry was designed as an unique and one of a kind art to either wearable or mounted on a wall. During her years of work, she prided herself in challenging herself to create her art using time consuming techniques of Native American tufa casting, casting silver & bronze, repousse, lost wax casting, fabrication, inlay, enamel and more. She prides herself in making many of her own tools and creating from scratch the findings on all her pieces to integrate with the overall master design.
Lynn earned a BFA and MA from the University of New Mexico by 1978. In addition to creating these jewelry pieces of art, she taught jewelry at the University and later ran her own graphic studio and jewelry business from 1985 until her injury.
She hopes this collection will be sold to a collector, museum or art gallery. Though anyone who wishes to purchase an individual piece will thoroughly enjoy this unique and creative art.
